Apple is planning to unveil new MacBook Pro models at its annual developers conference in June, according to a prominent leaker. There are no more details yet, but these are all very major apps, so significant updates are definitely desirable. As such, it will cost less than 2,000 and potentially be as low as 1,299 like the M1-powered MacBook Pro. Joanna Stern, Senior Personal Technology Columnist at the Wall Street Journal, tweeted that there are “big updates coming to Safari, Health, Maps and iMessage.” The MacBook Pro 2022 is expected to be the new entry-level Pro laptop. MacBook Pro computers are on sale for WWDC, with the special offers knocking 100s off current hardware.
Some apps have special trackers for collecting and sharing data, including some of the really personal stuff like phone numbers or location. WWDC 2020 deals are live, with fresh price drops on 16-inch MacBook Pro models. It seems that there will be new privacy protections to limit data collection, and a control panel which will give you granular detail of what each app is doing in terms of data collection.
